Intelligent Search

Overview

The application uses Intelligent Search in the "Select" fields in all windows. Intelligent Search allows a user to find what they are looking for with only limited information.

Examples:

• Finding a Contract in the Bidding Window.

  • A user may enter a word, phrase, or part of a word in the following fields to find the contract:

  • CSJ

  • Description

  • Location

  • Project Number

  • Project Name

The concept of the Intelligent Search is to allow users with any level of detailed knowledge about the thing they are searching for (contract, employee, company, etc) to be able to enter the information they know and select from a limited list the thing they were searching for.

Notes

If more than 300 entries match the entered string, no projects will display in the drop-down. The user must increase the length of the string or be more specific.
